Sweet Farewells!

So sorry...I guess I did not hit the Publish button last night! Blame it on the wine!!!

It's late on whatever day it is...I seem to have lost track as is always the case when I am on vacation. Today we spent the entire day touring the city of Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. Our tour guide was my Slovak teacher from the University of Pittsburgh, Vlasta Stofova. A lifelong native of the city, she guided us around with expert finesse! I took so many photos today that my phone battery died this evening and it is going to be difficult selecting the best ones to publish. My head is swimming with all of the information we learned so I will just post some random photos from the day.

Tomorrow we make our way across the country. We will stop at Levoca to view the largest carved wooden altar in Europe and then on to Spis Castle, the largest castle in all of Europe. It was featured in the movie Braveheart. We will arrive in Bardejov late in the day and then being a week of connecting with our families, the highlight and purpose of the trip.
